The Good
5 Ways To Know If University Is Your Thaaang
1. You can speak/understand the university language. eg :
"I need to meet Jian in PE now.. see you guys in front of 008, k?" or
"You're in TA 1 or TA 2? You're in B?!! oh sorry.." OR
"DSA is in L3 PD Block, right?"
2. You've walked from one block to another several times over and timed yourself. Hence, you're able to allocate sufficient time to run the distance given last minute circumstances. AND make it to class right in time. In under 4 minutes (would've been 3 if CARMEN.. didnt press the wrong lift button...) when it would've taken 10.
3. If the library suddenly seems like a cooooool place to be in.... AND you know how to read the codes on the shelves and find the books that you want! AND the librarian is actually on good terms with you! Does teaching me personally how to use the uni online library thing count?
4. You're are able to grasp a subject more firmly (applies to guys mostly) if the lecturer uses examples like condoms and ass to make you remember facts. eg:
"Given you're the buyer, if the prices of condoms are expected to rise in future, would the demand be less or more now?"
5. You have high resistance to cold.

Back To School!
It's like I'm not fated to join UTAR. Haha. First the late registration, then my allergy, and now... my shoe.
Yes. MY SHOE.
So due to a broken sole, I've confined myself to the same building where I study instead of going out for lunch with my friends =(
From my point of view, I see... a guy logging into Blogger (high five, bro!), a girl absorbed in an online game of some sort... some bunch of nerds are contemplating if they should insert a smiley into some online message, and I'm pretty sure I'm being watched by the person behind me. O well.
My first day here yesterday and I already had a presentation to do. In my English tutorial, the lecturer went "Ok 1 minute! Pick a topic! Anything that has substance and info. Only leave the room if you have a topic. Proceed to Internet lab. Do your research. 30mins! Last one out, first one to present!"
She's pretty fun actually, excluding her last sentence. And my topic? WEDDINGS. Yea what the hell.. My poor blank head..
Its my second day already and I am not regretting ANYTHING! This is SO. MUCH. FUN!!
Well.. except for the part where my shoe broke.
Classes are the bomb! The air-conditioning system is too good (read : I freeze half to dead most of the time)
Aaaaand I shall go off to my next classs... now.

The Great Itch
3 AM : *scratch scratch* "Omg..." *yawn*, "What is this bloody itch?!" *scratch scratch* *falls right back to sleep*
4.30 AM : *scratch* "Damned! Stupid mosquito's..." *turns over and falls back to sleep*
7.30 AM : wakes up to get ready for church. Neck was itching like nobody's business as well as my legs and arms. I had hives ALL over my body. It was red and hideous and I was wondering how I'm to show up at church.
Thankfully, the itchiness subsided while I was in church. Else I'd be twitching and squirming all throughout mass. Located my saviour (in 2 different ways but only he would understand the 2nd one), Fred after church. He managed to decipher my heavily coded uni timetable for me as I had classes the next day. THANK YOU FREDDEH!
Back home, the itch began to unveil its hideous head once again. So to distract myself, I picked up a book to read and managed to fall into a calm (and itch numbing) slumber till 6PM.
The moment my mind reclaimed consciousness... FU-YOH.. you cannot imagine how I looked like. The hives had spread to my FACE! While I was asleep! THOSE NASTY SLY THINGS! So I was all poofy and red. And not to forget, very itchy.
Mom suspected bedbugs or something so she put my bedsheets in to wash. And both of us hurried out to find a doctor.
On a Sunday night. At 8PM. Yeah right.
We searched and searched and couldnt find a single doctor nearby (my mom's regular one was closed), much less an open one. I literally had to use my thumb and forefingers to force my swollen eyelids open. Seriously. It was so bad.
Lady Luck finally gave up bullying us and as we turned a corner in Sea Park, there stood AN OPEN CLINIC *cue a singing choir of angels* *oh, and some great spotlight from above the clinic*
Well that was how it looked to me at that moment.
The doc was a man in his fifties. Rough and impatient. And didnt explain anything until we asked him questions. I spent 30 minutes looking for his clinic and was in there for only 3. Internal allergy. Pills, calamine lotion. Now bye bye.
Sheesh! Anyways, I sapu-ed Calamine lotion all over to sooth the itchiness and downed his pills at night.
I succumbed to drowsiness at 10.30, sooooo hoping it would die down so I could attend uni to next day.
MONDAY, 19 JAN ( UNI DAY!!!)
No such luck. Woke up at 6.45AM to get ready.
My body felt as if it was weighed down with a hundred metal balls.
My eyelids felt as if they were filled with lead.
I was in NO condition to step into the outside world.
Mom brought me to her regular doctor at 10AM. The itching has RECEDED! But my eyes were still practically swollen shut.
So much for uni. *sighs*
The doc was an indian woman who, at first sight at me went "HI there! You look like Garfield!!". Haha. She was friendly and seemed to be a very close friend of moms'. Her office was painted orange and yellow. So was the rest of the clinic. It was so bright and happy!! I like!! And she had a zillion pictures stuck on her walls and even had this furry thing clinging on to her stethoscope. You're just forced to be a kid again in there. Haha.
She told me I was allergic to something and made me work my half-dead brain to recall my Saturday afternoon on whether I had consumed or done something outta the ordinary. Nope, I hadn't done any.
THEN CAME THE HORRIBLE JAB. =(
Well, at least I didnt faint before or during the jab. OR AFTER. Like, how does it make sense to faint AFTER it? What's the point huh *coughCHONGcough*?? haha!
I feel much better now, and the hives have gone away.
UNI, HERE I COMEEEEEEE!! .....One week and one day late..

Shifting Places
Just got in from bathing Joy (the DOG ,in case you didnt know!).
My feet are wet and my fingers feel like they dont have a grip anymore.
BUUUT, Joy's all clean and smells of soap now. Just the way I like it =)
Give Joy a bath. CHECK.
Shadow, however... ran away as fast as he could. That smart dog.
Food? At this time of the day? He's no fool. Even went as far as to step on the grass to escape my grasp (He don't do grass, man. Im serious. But that was an emergency.)
Give Shadow a bath. ...geh.
Pets aside, I've already packed half my stuff for college. That's it, baby.. IM MOVIN!
And cleaning up my closet pays. Literally.
I found a stash of hidden loot I've completely forgotten about! I'm rich again! hehe. Only temporarily.
I'm gonna miss my rooom =(
rite.. I forgot to make my bed. Remind me to do that before I leave.
So, while I'm staying at the apartment, I'm assigning myself to accomplish a few goals. A resolution list that may work this time.

The Thing I Hate About Decisions..
~********************~
I've achieved a milestone in my life yesterday.
I figured out what I want to do in the future. Finally.
Yes, I know most people already have their dreams and ambitions stacked up in a neat pile by the time they graduate from high school. And this can hardly be considered a milestone to them. But time flew in such a hurry that I seemed to have too little time to be exposed to what each career offers. And I got stuck when I was finally asked to decide what I want to do.
Of course, I did constantly ask my father throughout Form5 on what I should do after high school. Never got proper reply. It was always
"Wait for results,"
"Then after I get my results?"
"Talk about that later la, get your results first,"
Things have since changed and time has become of utmost importance. Suddenly, he wants me to move faster and start college NOW. asap.
I don't mind, but so many decisions were being pushed into my face. I've decided to do a Foundation in Arts. Fine, decided finally.
OK now, shall I do it in the Ampang campus or the Petaling Jaya campus?
AMPANG - Get to be in the comfort of home everyday. But required to travel by train AND bus to AND fro everyday. Safety and comfort of myself reduced to negative value.
PJ - Have apartment. Have car. 5 mins away from campus. But will feel extremely bad for leavin Sg Long household all alone.
Not only that. The Problem has not come to a conclusion yet. Another heart-flippin decisidon to make. All in one day.
Did I mention college starts on January the 12th? Im STILL undecided. And it's already the 6th!
Damned.
ps - Surabaya post is still on hold. Laptop is too much of a slowpoke to be uploading pictures.

When Everybody Else Goes Back To School..
AND YES I REALISED THAT HAPPENED 4 DAYS AGO.
but my computer has proven itself unloyal to its master and refuses to connect to the internet whereas the 4 year old laptop still manages to snag those amazing router signals. Old ye faithful!
However, all my X'mas and Surabaya pictures are in the computer. So, once that gets hooked up, I'll show you how my holiday went! Cant wait! It was such a food haven! And I drove a buggy! oh yeah big deal, melissa
What I'm Up To Now
-Obviously, waiting for my SPM results.
-in the midst of a dilemma in what course I want to take up. I have -pathetically- no ambition whatsoever. help!
-lounging around the house reading books mostly borrowed from mom(So far 2 of Jeffrey Archer's books revolved around LAW..is that a sign?! Or does ALL of his works involve crazy lawsuits?)
ok I give up. I sat for awhile thinking what I'm really up to now and came up blank. This is horrendous! Not a good start for a bright future, definitely.
But.......not ALL hope is lost yet. I have ALMOST gotten my L license. The 5 hour course was crazy boring. I lost what the guy was trying say after he mention the R word.
Radiators. Where would the world be without them?
and apparently if there's too much engine oil, you have to unscrew some nut under the car to let the oil flow out. Hmm.. I should put that on this year's resolution list. "Lie on a skateboard and roll under a car to unscrew a nut". That should be an experience.. haha.
The Undang test was even worse. I'll just warn you not to go on a holiday, else you'd end up waiting the whole day for your turn. Literally. The test went smooth and I went home victorious. 49 over 50 babeeh!! I shall now proceed to pray my luck doesnt turn a full one-eighty in the other direction for the reaaaal drivin test.
ps : my fish gave birth again (rejoice for new life on earth!)...and I dont know why Im telling you this. I TOLD you I've nothing to do now.
